WORSHIP NOTES

In today's worship we continue our exploration of the biblical theme of journey. We are undergoing a journey ourselves throughout the summer as our building will be renovated, and on certain Sundays, we will have to worship in the fellowship hall. The scripture at the heart of our service this morning is the story of Joshua and the crossing of the Jordan into Cannan.

SERMON "Noah: Preparing for the Journey"

WORSHIP NOTES

In today's worship we begin our exploration of the biblical theme of journey. We are undergoing a journey ourselves throughout the summer as our building will be renovated, and on certain Sundays, we will have to worship in the fellowship hall. We start with Noah's response to God's call to build an ark for the coming flood. The theme of faithfulness in response to God's urgings is explored in our journey this morning.

We begin with the verses from our psalm of the day and ask God to guide our hearts that we may do what God commands. In the Prayer of Confession we admit how little we really listen for God's voice. We have two particular joys this morning: recognizing a graduating senior and welcoming new members.
